I saw Stardust with Fern today. The last two movies I have seen involve crossdressing. I am slightly concerned. But this movie was kind of awesome. ALSO: the music played with the credits? Take That. Also? I CANNOT FIND IT TO DOWNLOAD ANYWHERE!! TAKE THAT, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME!?

It seems to be a running gag in my life, that I will order something online, only to have it not arrive, and after convincing the sender to send a replacement, TWO show up. I mean?

So a few entries ago, I was complaining about how my Stargate: Season 10 had not arrived, even though the tracking website said it had? And how furious I was? Anyway, today, almost a MONTH after it hadn't shown up, and the precise day that the replacement showed up? We found the package. The post-courier guy had HIDDEN IT. Like, so people wouldn't find it. AND THEN I DIDN"T FIND IT. Because normally you put packages near the door, hidden behind a piller or doormat or something? This guy had put the package on some DUSTY SHELVES IN THE CORNER OF OUR GARAGE. Like, a good 30 metres away from my front door. WTF?

So, I now own two copies of season 10. Being the consciencious person that I am, I will mail one copy back.

anyway.

Want to wish everyone well over the fast - if you are Jewish, that is. Have a good Yom Kippur! :-)

Firstly, before I forget, [info]blossyn I got your card! YOU ARE MADE OF SO MUCH AWESOME! Really! I squealed and LAUGHED SO LOUDLY and my family demanded to see what it was and I was all OMGVALENTINES FROM AWESOME FRIEND! And then proudly displayed my magnets. THEY ARE SO AWESOME. Especially the sheppard/mckay one. SO AWESOME!!! I WANT TO MAKE MAGNETS/.

The card arrived the same time as my Stormbreaker DVD, and I had just gone out and bought Scrubs season 1, a Justin Timberlake DVD and my favourite emo song, "The Kill". I also made Fern buy Supernatural season 1, which, come on, isn't hard. It's Supernatural. Anyway. *cough*.

Yesterday was also Uni...host day? Or something? God. I had the worst morning ever. So, I missed my bus at the bus port by like, thirty seconds, and then had to wait about 15 for the next bus. Which then ran TEN MINUTES LATE and we got caught in all the traffic. I finally got off the bus outside the train station, only to find that the entrance had been blocked off and I had to GO THE LONG ROUTE down and around and through another entrance, where I got stopped about TWENTY BILLION TIMES by guards wanting to see a valid pass, and I eventually arrived at the busport to meet Chloe half an hour late. And then we ran into Uni about 15 minutes after the intro lecture  had begun. We didn't miss much, luckily, but about 10 minutes later, 20 minutes into the lecture, the fucking fire alarm goes off. Seriously. What an awesome time to have a drill? NO. So we all stood in the sun for about 15 minutes before piling back into the lecture theatre for another 15 minutes. We then piled back out and were met up by little second-third-whatever year law students to take us around the campus. And by campus I mean the law section and where to eat and drink. Hahaha. Chloe and I were with another firstie....and our tour guide person looked so familiar. Anyway, we wandered around getting shown things until about noon, and then we got free lunch (a gross sausage roll that they thought was nice?), some water, an apple and a fizzer and chuppa chup! We sat around for a while, and afterwards Chloe and I left to go to the city, where ew met up with Fern. This was where I bought all my stuff, and then we went and saw Music and Lyrics. Again.

Seriously. Hugh Grant + dancing + boybands = SO MUCH AWESOME.

Anyway. So at work I am always gushing about HOW AWESOME BOYBANDS ARE. Seirously - they are. Anyway, my manager, who is like, 27, told me she listened to Nirvana and all those sorts of bands when she was young, but there was one boyband she liked. And today when I showed up at work she had burnt one of their CD's for me! EEE!
They are called "EYC" - which stands for - get this - EXPRESS YOURSELF CLEARLY. Seriously. I just---? There are no words.

So, since people at my work totally do not appreciate the awesomeness of boybands, I am burning DATA DVDS (seriously - its the only way I can fit my ENTIRE collection anywhere) for each of them. THEY WILL HAVE BOYBANDS! NSYNC! BSB! WESTLIFE! A1! O-TOWN! BLUE! BOYZONE! EVERYONE! YAY!!! I will even throw in a little of air supply.

I also think I will screencap the awesomest, dodgiest scene EVAH!!! out of Stormbreaker. Soon. :-D.

I have created a monster. Or rather, two monsters.
I should never have told my mother and younger sister that I owned, thanks to my English course, a Harlequin/Mills and Boons novel. They both read it, and possibly enjoyed it and now, months later, I decided to buy some - since they were, at most, $2 each. So I randomly (except, not so much) bought 2. Based on their covers (or titles). I got home and told them, and since I was reading one, they got into a vicious fight over who got the second one - threats involved!!! It was hilariously scary. Note to self: bribary can come in the form of Harlequin novels, apparently.

So, one of the novels I bought solely based on the cover. I did a double take when I saw it!! I was like, SHEPPARD!!!! (hearty thingies!)
Also: the picture is BIG.

And then the second one I bought, well, it was to do with the military? And I really want someone to write it as an SGA FIC! I DO I DO I DO!! It would be awesome! McKay would be out to prove that all military men are just out for a quick lay with whoever is willing and suck at relationships and are just great big airheads and to win his bet he uses Major John Sheppard - who also uses him in order to get a promotion, but in the nicest possible way, and then they fall in love! I mean nothing. It makes more sense in my head.

Also: It brings me so much utter joy to listen to Westlife singing an O-Town song. Westlife. O-Town.
I am way too easily amused.

So, since today is my first day off in forever, not including Christmas, which would have been awesome if my family didn't insist on waking me at the crack of dawn - not even for presents, but because they were going to the beach (if there had been presents, it would have been okay) I am actually going to enjoy it. My day involves TV and swimming and reading and all relaxing things. I am very excited.
