#1: Australia sometimes really makes gold movies. No, for serious. Or maybe it's just funny because I: a)love boybands immensely, and b)love really, really bad ballads and c)funny is good too. My favourite songs from the movie were the theme music, special time (of the month), cellulite lady, love handles and pussywhipped *insert little hearty thingies here*

Um. The movie is called "boytown" and is TOTALLY MADE OF AWESOME.  This is the summary from IMDB:
""Boytown" concerns a successful 80s boy band of the same name reforming their band in contemporary times in the hope that they can capture some of their former glory and that the fans will still be interested. Tommy, Corey, Benny and two others try to reform Boytown in 2005, but now they are all in the late 30s and are not sure whether people will still be interested in them. What follows is their tale as they try to recapture some of their former magic."

It makes me think back to the German sort-of-kind-of-similar one called "boyzvoice". Which, btw, was made of awesome too.

ANYWAY. I may have fallen in love just a bit and my finger is hovering over the "buy soundtrack" button. However, their website lets me listen to it (YAY PAUL GROSS ARMS \o/!!!).
Friends, I say this to you: Go listen to the soundtrack. Since LJ isn't letting me use the fancy buttons, here's the address: http://www.boytownmovie.com.au/discography.html just go there and follow the links.

YOU WONT REGRET IT, PROMISE. (even if they do sing about living in your womb, really).

After I watched this movie, Fern and Jessica came back to my house, where my NSYNC DVD miraculously (and I don't mean this sarcastically, it hasn't worked for over two years) started working again! It was like, destroyed, but WORKED FOR US. BECAUSE WE ARE AWESOME.
Then Fern did non-awesome things by sitting on a bag of chips. Really.

We also decided their dance moves just had to be copied and replicated in duplicate while out clubbing, because we are made of awesome. Really.

PS - if you are listening to the soundtrack, number 15 is what I would sing to Callum Keith Rennie while trying to be seductive and all "I dedicate this song to you" and then make up awesome new lyrics and drape myself over him like an octopus.

We're boytown! Population five! Hey dudes keep it real! Look at the awesome!
