This is me right now. Has anyone on the flist read Robin Hobb? The Farseer and Tawny Man Trilogies? BECAUSE HI, BROKEN HEART. I blame mychalian. 

I spent all of last night and this afternoon IN TEARS as I read these books. Because I WANT THE HAPPY ENDING THAT I WANT. :-(! Incoherency, ahoy, I know. BUT. OMG BOOKS. 

I will go back to sobbing my heart out now.

In other less exciting news, I am currently 10 minutes away from my driving lesson. *STRESSES*. Driving is very stressful. Also, today my dad gets back from South Africa. He went there to visit my grandparents for 10 days. I hope he brings me good presents. I was looking at photos one of my friends in SA posted of my dad's visit when he saw them, and I swear, my dad is SUCH A MAN. It is hilairous. In a photo with his friend and their son (about 23?), the father son all have arms around each other, and so does my dad, BUT HE IS STANDING LIKE A METRE APART. NO MAN TOUCHING ALLOWED. I laughed for quite a while.

Um, um. I HAVE NO NEWS. *continues to panic about driving lesson*.

ETA: YAY PRESENTS! My presents include: a bag, $50, 2 bracelets, a necklace, something to hold said jewellery, a personally named face cloth, a keyring...AND CHIPS. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. No one makes crisps like South Africa, I swear. *drools*. Hahahahahaha.

*stares blurrily at computer screen*.

Note to self - waking up and immediately putting on glasses and watching TV for hours and hours and hours is a terrible idea. It means for the rest of the day I have almost double, blurry vision. I=suck. I can't even see this screen properly, and my laptop is practically being rested underneath my boobs (yes, okay, tmi, and just incase you are experiencing funny images, I am lying down on my bed with my thighs propping it up). It is really frustrating trying to squint my eyes so I can see.

Also, flist, how come I haven't seen any Robin Hood related flailing?!?!?!?!?! Normally you guys keep me in the loop! How awesome is the show? Clue: very. I lovelovelove it. So much! Little tiny Robin Hood!!! Pretty evil!smirking!not-really-that-awful Guy!!!! SMIRKING. Even the Sheriff is awesome! (I mean, he sounds like a fangirl sometimes, such as with lines like "women, lepers" when you just know how it would look on a blog "WOMEN = LEPERS. KTHXBYE". He is so awesome. Just---pretty show! AWESOME THEME MUSIC THAT I WANT FOR MY PHONE. Except I dont know how to get it. *SULKS LIEK WHOA*.

Anyway: Robin Hood = awesome. Really.

I also finally saw episodes eleven and twelve of Rome season 1. Again, also awesome. Titus + Lucius = happy Lauren. And Mark Antony! And Caesar! And Brutus! And Atia!!! Oh, so much love! Thanks to mychalian17 I spent all night (and up until about 3:30am) watching ROME and Robin Hood, and I also eye two House episodes as well. On top of that, itzaimster and rubyb, the crazy suckers that they are, both sent me insane warnings of "SUPERNATURAL. NEW EPISODE. SEND IMMEDIATELY" in various forms, so I downloaded that and have it to watch, as well as 3 more episodes of Dexter. This all on top of the like, 4 discs of duesouth/sga actor related movies/tv shows I have to watch as well. I will never leave the House again. (Well, except for the six days a week I work, and having to go to the post office and all.).

In other news, for three days with very small intervals of blissful silence, a couple houses behind us have been pumping out music and all i can hear is DOOFDOOOFDOOFDOFDOFDOOOOOF. All night. And when I wake up. And GRAR! Lauren GOES CRAZY NOW. THANK YOU AND GOODBYE.

Hello flist! I am back! *CLINGS*. Wow, at some point in the last...ten days? This layout changed! (to write a post, I mean). So much has happened! I have had my ROBBIE WILLIAMS CONCERT (!!!!!), my friend Julia has been visiting from Adelaide, I have spent more money then I have made, have a lizard somewhere in my room (gee, thanks cat, bring it in and then NOT EAT IT) and am burnt to a blistering pulp. Um. Forget you read that last bit.

Anyway. I will do a post at some point with pictures and the such. But for now: escapismz, I got your card! THANK YOU! It's been ages since we talked!!! deiann I got yours too! It was so awesome and in another language. I really wish I had had the time this year to go out and do the card sending as well - and trying to give people things on their wishlists. Haha. Maybe I will do a belated one. Or, just next year!!!
It was mychalian17's birthday on Wednesday as well - I got her some paid LJ time so felt smug in that.

Urrr....my room really needs to be cleaned and Foxtel is a-calling! I'm still going to be really busy until after Christmas, but after that I want to start writing again - or buying myself more things. Haha. I suck. But since I don't get Christmas I have to make up by buying myself things?

Anyway.

Dearitzaimster, and, in proxy, I think, rubyb, tonight is the night (if I stay awake!) that new Supernatural gets downloaded. I think...there are about 4 episodes waiting? FOUR NEW EPISODES. Also, Torchwood, Battlestar and hopefully Atlantis. I will be up 'til sunrise with my list. *mumbles*. BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT.

Tomorrow is my ONE DAY OFF this week from work. I can't wait! Yay! Lying in bed all day with no stress! It will be SO EXCITING. These days I feel so guilty and like I'm forgetting something without the stress of Uni - it will be nice to have a relaxing day. I will go for a nice, leasurely walk around my neighbourhood in the late morning, stopping by the shopping complex to see if a new Stargate magazine is out and possibly get some lunch then come home and watch episodes. Yay!

BB, the bitch, saw The Prestige today without me. It's fine, I WILL GO BY MYSELF. Maybe. Or maybe I will spend all my money and order Slings & Arrows and Twitch City off amazon.com. And just hope they play on my DVD player. dueSouth did okay...but I am paranoid. And maybe I will buy Wilby Wonderful.

Um.

Anyway. I will end this off now - 11 days (or 10. or something) TIL ROBBIE. Except I'm not excited yet.

In other news, I walked ALL THE WAY ACROSS CAMPUS only to find my Archaeology lecture had been cancelled. This after I spent the morning trudging from my house to my bus stop to the bank across a shopping mall to a bus stop to another bus stop to a Uni cafe, to a Uni lecture hall (to drop Fern off), and then across to the other side of the campus for my lecture which was cancelled only to come all the way back across campus to use the computers. Um, yay for exercise?

Also, I finished my Archaeology bird, and I terrified it is totally going to crack and break before I get to hand it in (after that, I don't care). I keep bashing the shoebox it is in against things. Oops.

I am also really, really tired.

Did I mention yet I saw the first 2 episodes of Torchwood? I cannot contain my utter LOVE for that show. I love the entire team! So much!!! Even the females! Especially Captain Jack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also saw Supernatural episode 4. The angst! *hugs them*
jazmin22 also tagged me to do a 'six things about you' meme, which I tried to do but couldn't think of six interesting things about myself and gave up. Um, I also did this meme a few months ago? *makes more excuses*.

I don't have much to say since I am trying to do my Archaeology, but look what BB made for me!! (exclamation points times eleventy one!)

Seriously. I decide to go on hiatus to try and bring up my grades/actually do Uni work, and what happens?

I:

• Change my awesome, awesome Apollo/Helo layout to an equally as awesome one (mostly because it matches my default icon, horray!)
• Upon changing said layout, I get annoyed by ads and decide, fuck this, and get a paid LJ
• MAKE NEW AWESOME, AWESOME LJ FRIENDS. *waves hello*

So - I managed 3 days to resist the lure of my flist. While I will probably just filter through my friends pages and not the groups (I am signed up to 112 communities - when did that happen?), I cannot stay away. I will also be tinkering with it now! New pretty things!!!!

I also convinced BB and Tam they should both write me Harlequin novels in which I am the main character. And they agreed. I'm becoming slightly concerned about a)my sanity, and b)my bossiness. However, they are awesome and what I've read so far is awesome, and so I am very pleased.

Now I should actually go and do Archaeology - I will read about Zimbabwe. *sighs*.

I am currently having a love affair with Jared Leto, his cute little emo band, their song "The Kill" and, especially, the video clip. Like my slash-filled brain needed that. Seriously. Jared has the most awesome hair ever - it is so shiny and straight and pretty!!!  Um, anyway, at around the 2.20 - 3.15 mark of the video: hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Seriously. I don't normally do emo music, but mmmmm.
Anyway, if I could figure out how to do the clip thiny in livejournal, I'd do that...or maybe I will try....

Next week work has me on a six hour Sunday shift. While that would normally be brilliant, thanks to the new work place relations law, I DONT GET DOUBLE PAY OR ANYTHING. NOTHING. ZILCH. Just normal, average pay. *mumbles*.

I will go back to sulking now. I just wanted to let you know about my weird little crush/affair thing.

PS - Why is it, that I have no more fic to read? BB has a whole 500+ page document of fic backlogged for reading - I have nothing. In any of my fandoms. I go through fic like water. I want new, good, long fic!! *whines*.

Okay, just before I begin my OMGBLEACHHASEATENMYBRAIN! A funny little story.

The other day on the bus, I was staring off into space and then suddenly I zoned in on this mother and her two children. The mother looked exactly like Ziva from NCIS. I couldn't stop staring. The little girl was like, 5 and the baby about 1. And the woman even sounded like Ziva and spoke to her kids like I imagine Ziva would if she had kids. I didn't stop staring until they got off. Yeah.

Now, onto the Bleach has eaten my soul (and I didn't mean that in a pun sort of way, either). I am up to episode 29. And the obsession begins...it's only because they just introduced the characters of Smiley and Glasses (okay, fine, that's not their names but I have issues with names on Bleach because everyone calls everyone different names and  end u so confused.) ANYWAY. Smiley and Glasses (Gin and...Aizen) had a moment and then I was all pointy and OMGTHEYAREGAYEVILLIFEPARTNERSTOGETHER!!! And told BeiBei and now she thinks so too and im like, THIS SHOW WINS SO MUCH I MUST WATCH MORE. I mean, I like Ichigo/Rukia (ALSO! Ishida/Inuoue...why? I don't know. It's cute.)..BUT THEY ARENT GAYEVILLIFEPARTNERS. I just want to smush Gin's cheeks. Mmm.

Okay, I must go watch Bleach now. *coughs*.
