YOU FAIL
...I just read an example in a textbook, and SOMEHOW, managed to understand it in terms of game theory (the so called "tit for tat" theory...sort of...).
The problem with this is, HOW DID I DO THAT WHEN I DONT UNDERSTAND GAME THEORY? hahahaha.

I am currently watching my CNN Anderson Cooper 360 podcast, and of course they are talking about the economic crisis, and some guy was talking about how the market should just be left alone - how governments should not try to regulate it/put policies on it, etc. My response? TO LAUGH OUT LOUD, and internally go "lulz, liberalist view HI ADAM SMITH".


This unit is making weep. I DONT UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS. I AM GOING TO FAIL. So I put it to you, smart flist. My question is this:

To what extent is the development of the third world constrained by the current political-economic system?

Any economists out there?

I am currently on my week study break, but I fear nothing I really needed to get done will get done, due to my having a billion assignments that need to be done before I go back to Uni on Monday.

So far, my week looks basically like this:

Monday:
8-940am: gym + walking home
DAY WASTED until 245pm (well....I had to go post off my foxtel set top box. At least I didn't get funny looks in the post office!)
245pm onwards: basic Property Law assignment reading

Tuesday:
8-940am: gym + walking home
11-3pm: trusts reading catch up

Wednesday:

I cannot even begin to describe how grateful I will be when tomorrow is over. So, so grateful. I have my Trusts Law presentation - my only assessment for that unit aside from the exam, and it is a group presentation. I am really not a group person, and I am REALLY not a presentation person.

But the presentation is tomorrow, at...3pm? I'm pretty sure around then. It is in my 2 hour trusts class, which is from 2-4, and there are 4 groups presenting, each of us with 20 minutes. There is a lot to say, so I'm not sure how we will condense it. Also, it pisses me off that it is a group of 3, and it has been me and one other girl, Emily, who have done EVERYTHING. The other girl has been absent - I have seen her once, and she has done nothing. This pisses me off, as this assessment is not individually marked, it is done as a group. The only thing Emily and I can do is basically write up a complaint saying the other girl has not done anything and so not to group our marks with hers, but I think neither Emily nor I care that much. The only thing that would make us do that is if she does something during the presentation to bring our mark down.

Haha. Anyway, I bought a suit for this presentation! Suit! Me! Except there is NO WAY I will spend all of tomorrow - 8am-5pm in my suit with HORRIBLE SMART SHOES. Literally all smart shoes cut my feet, so instead I will be awesome and mismatch with sneakers and carry smart shoes in my bag. I think this works.

ps - the mummy 3 comes out thursday. IM EXCITED. And on friday is [info]lanyth 's birthday party, at which point I get to wear my normal attire to fit with the theme - something along the lines of rags and riches. You can guess which end of the scale my clothes fit on. HAHAHA. So everyone will be dressed up spiffy, except for me in my rags. IT WORKS.

I AM SO DEAD I HAVE NO WORDS.

Why don't I ever learn? mumblesigh.

Yes, that was another Sunday that passed into Monday that I did not go to bed, due to not finishing an essay. Which is still not finished. And due in 3 hours. And I am 400 words over the word limit. And have not edited/bibliography/conclusion/etc. I almost fell asleep on the bus. I was standing up. Today does not look promising.



...oh, actually I' not over the limit. wordcount was just including references. OH GOD I AM SO TIRED. This essay is utter crap, and the lecturer marks hard. It's just, this question HAD TOO MUCH for a 1000 essay. Mine is jsut all over the place.


...I guess I should do a bibliography, or something.

 

PS - I spent like, 2 hours between 2-4am thinking about the many, many reasons why I viciously,  VICIOUSLY dislike Twilight but won't rave about it because I know a few people who do like it - genuinely like it, and not because of sparkley vampires, but for the writing and the plot.

AHAHAHA. Omg <--- = hysterical laughter. 

My tutorial assignment grades for Constitutional Law just came through. If you recall, that was the assignment that I realised 2 weeks later that I had accidentally handed in the unedited draft of, and proceeded to have a mental breakdown and convinced myself I was doomed for epic failure.

.....I got 15/20. 75%. Distinction. 

O___o (yes, yes I know I said I would never use this things BUT THIS IS MY FACE RIGHT NOW. SO APPROPRIATE).

SO: assignments are handed in! And about 20 minutes ago I realised I put down the wrong tutorial time on the cover. But I am sure they will figure it out. I AM FREE OF ASSESSMENTS! Until...exams...in just over a week or so.

So, I am so tired that in my first lecture this morning I did that awesome thing where you don't realise you are falling asleep until your head falls forward/backward/to the side and you jerk awake. This happened to me at least four time in the space of as many minutes. Every ten minutes. And then I actually did fall asleep, and just as I was about to hit my head on my laptop keyboard, I jerked awake in a fit of flailing limbs and jerked my chair back and fear that everyone saw me. :-(! 

Currently I am in the law library trying to stay awake to go to my next lecture. And then a tutorial. I am worried about staying conscious. I fear this will not last long. And when I get home (around 5pm), I can only have a short nap, because I have a tutorial workshop question I need to do for tomorrow. And then the studying begins! ...yay!

...exam time! And also, final assignments. On Monday I have 2 research essays due: one worth 30% (2000 words) and one worth 35% (2500 words). I have not begun. And I am working tomorrow all day. I'm not even sure if it's possible to get it handed in on time.

I swear, I'm out to get myself.

Anyway - for the next couple of weeks I'm going to be more AWOL than usual; no doubt though, that there will be panicked OH MY GOD I AM GOING TO FAIL posts.

So, for the past 3 weeks I have had this stupid cough which hits me quite often and I die in fits of it. It's kind of like, a dog cough/smokers cough. Since I have neither, it is a bit of a puzzle. It is also SERIOUSLY ANNOYING.

I also signed up to the gym - FINALLY. I know I've been saying it for like, six months, and always find an excuse not to go out there and just do it. I finally did. I also went to my 'introduction' to the gym. And it was a big indication of how HORRIFICALLY unfit I am. HORRIFICALLY. Hahaha. Hamstrings are not your friend. The most exciting thing for me is the classes they offer. I cannot wait, yay! I'm planning on going tomorrow.

So, it's friday, AND I HAVE DONE NOTHING in regards to studying. NOTHING. And next week I have a huge assignment due, not to mention all my workshop stuff. And then an exam on Saturday. *FREAKS OUT*.

On Wednesday night I also went out for Daniela's 21st birthday, and, ok, I am allergic to sulphur. Of which alcohol has. Especially stuff like vodka. And then I had this drink which poured EVERY SPIRIT KNOWN TO MAN into it. I watched in growing horror. Of course, I drank the thing. HAHAHA. Lauren > common sense. Yeah. 

OH. And. The Kyou Kara Maou CD? The one with all the characters? WONDERFUL. TIMES A BILLION. Especially Gunther's song. And Shibuya Shouri's. EPIC LOVE ON MY END. SO PRETTY. PREEEETTTTY. Am willing to upload for anyone who wants! :-)
